Static Firings of the S1C Space Rocket Stage

Above is the S-IV-B Battleship in a static firing.

I do not know where this is but I would guess Huntsville.
I just found out that this enormous Test Stand is in California.

On the right is the SIC Stage being test fired at Huntsville.
Above that is our own Mississippi Test Site at night.
Beautiful!
Most of the firings were at the two Mississippi Test Sites. There were 2 Test Stands there (near Bay St. Louis) and the 1st and 2nd stages were tested there. Although for unknown reasons to me sometimes the S1C Stage was taken to the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. and tested there. ???? Maybe someone who knows will read this and let me know why.
There were test firings of all stages almost every day. We were tasked by NASA to build 15 Stages for 15 Saturn Vs. This was in a very short period of time. By the end of 1967 we were wrapping up the last few stages and the Boeing folks were returning to Seattle. Can you imagine? All these stages being built and tested in a 4-5 year period? Wow.
It was the beginning of the end of a wonderful race.
Guess what? WE WON!
