I am so proud of our Marines. We are a 3rd Generation USMC family.
My father-in-law fought on Iwo Jima in WWII and in Korea. He retired from the Corps and at one time was the Senior NCO in the Corps. He is still alive and in his 80s. My husband is a Vietnam Veteran. He was in Chu Lai in 1966 the same year I was working for Boeing at Michoud. Our son is winding up a 20-year career. He is a Marine Corps Aviator. He flew Hueys and fixed-wing aircraft. He has been on deployments all over the world. Our son also received an Air Medal for extraordinary heroism in saving 3 lives at night during a terrible storm over a raging river.
Our family has given an extraordinary amount of devotion to our country.
I am so proud to be a part of this extraordinary family.
