There has been one thing over the years that I am very sad about. It has been over 40 years since I worked on the magnificent rocket--the Saturn V. I have never seen or spoken to any of our Astronauts. It looks like I never will. Those of us who created a solid piece of technology for the times are alone, forgotton and thrown in the trash pile. I do not want autographs. These do not give you the measure of a man.
Anyway, no one will miss me. No one has ever read this blog.
Well, maybe one or two.
Remember,"The astronauts have the right stuff but we engineers have the REAL stuff".
P.S. Addendum. I will keep posting. Thank you everyone for your input. I need to get more traffic.

Oh Sara, please don't drop the blog. I like it! And you probably have a jillion more hits than my genealogy pages!
ReplyDeleteSara, I wonder if NASA will ever honor the Soviet Chief Designer, Korolyov... His death was so tragic and he really helped energize our space program by being so good at what he did... see the Wikipedia entry on him.
ReplyDeleteHi Sara -
ReplyDeleteI agree, this blog is necessary. You were part of the greatest event in the 20th Century. Your stories need to be told.
all the best,
Tim
I shall pass the word!
ReplyDeleteI've only just found this blog! Please keep up the good work with it. I bet you have more readers than you think.
ReplyDeleteThe Saturn V is probably the most amazing machine ever built by mankind and we need to keep its memory alive. Landing on the moon was the greatest event of the 20th century and you were a part of that. Kudos to you :)
Take care,
Jason
Glad you didn't give it up! You should move your blog to wordpress - it's easy to get lost in the background noise here on blogspot.
ReplyDeleteYou'll get a much wider readership, and I can guarantee you that if you are using tag words related to NASA and Apollo you get a lot of hits as Wordpress's readership searches for articles with those tag words. Trust me, with a few spacey-related tags words in each article you will get hundreds of views a day :)
Anyway, please keep it up, I for one love reading the blog (and you know my thoughts on Apollo!). Oh, and have you read the reviews of the book on Amazon? I think they want more!
Thanks so much, Foxx!
