The Mighty Saturn V

The picture on the top is a test firing of the 1st Stage of the Saturn V. The next picture is the entire Saturn V on its side. Below that picture is a crew loading the S-IC Stage on the firing stand for another static test.
There is the Michoud Plant in New Orleans where I worked from 1965 until 1967.
The Saturn V is the biggest rocket ever built-it should be since this rocket sent 31 men to the Moon. I worked in the brightly lit building at Michoud, La. The 1st stage was built there. This stage carried 5 engines and it was only the first. The immensity of this vehicle can hardly be imagined. You had to see it in person to believe it.
