Going To View the Shuttle Discovery Launch

Dear Readers, Thanks for checking in with me. After working over 40 years ago on the Apollo Program, I have never seen a live launch. Hopefully that will be remedied this coming Saturday, May 31st. My husband and I are going to Cape Kennedy to see the launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery. I am excited! This STS-124 mission will be taking the rest of the Japanese project to the International Space Station. The crew consists of mostly men except for one woman astronaut. They will be leaving an Astronaut on the Space Station and bringing one home after an extended stay. I will be posting more details later today. There is an Apollo exhibit with the Saturn V. I can hardly wait to see it and of course MY stage-the S1-C (the 1st Stage). I will post pictures when we return.
